The origin of english is England but it is mother tongue language USA,CANADA,IRELAND,AUSTRALIA and some other countries.It belongs to Indo european languages  and similar to german,swedish and dutch languages.It is said that Porto-Indo european is parent tongue of english that had been spoken by nomads(lived in south plain and west part of Europe ) about 5000 years ago.After passage of time,the words of other languages are added in English.
