Information about UN(united nations)

 UN(united nations):

 It is worldly organization that aim to promote peace and equality among all countries and work for 

welfare of all peoples. It is group of almost all countries(190). UN has imposing effects on world 

economy and foreign affairs. It has power to stop war between countries.Thus it is guardian of all 

peoples of countries in world.

History of UN:

In world war 1(1914-1918) 15 million mostly soilders, died and billions of worth damage was done in 

countries. Some countries made an international organization (league of nations)to prevent humanity 

from future conflicts, but USA or Russia never join the league only 63 nations joined. In reality, it is 

club of western states they fail to stop World war 2 that happen after 20 years. After world war 2,In 

1946 the worlds power decided to made another international organization United Nation. This 

organization successfully formed all humanity into single Organization. It consist of 192 members 

except four countries like Israel (Disputed area),Palestine(Disputed AREA),Vatican city(which belongs 

to roman catholic church in Rome) and Taiwan (which consider part of china).

Main organs of UN:

1.The General Assembly

2.The security council

3.The secretariat

4.The Economic and Social council

5.The International court of Justice

The National assembly:

It is main organ of UNO. In simple words, we say that it is heart of UN .It  is consist of 192 states and 

all countries has only one vote to cast in election.(All has one vote rather it is largest country Russia or 

smallest country Maldives).  It’s aim to discuss and undertake all major problems that faces by 

humanity. All countries foreign minister meet anually to discuss issues, but also emergencies meetings 

held to solve crises or stop for war between two countries. Every year, new president and 21 vice 

presidents elect to preside next meeting.   

The Security Council:

It is most powerful body  and type of cabinet of UNO. There are five(current) main members of 

UN(USA,CHINA,FRANCE,U.K,RUSSIA) and fifteen members(volunteer) are chose after two years.

(According to numbers of countries and population ).It is main driving body of united nations that puts 

ideas and approved by general assembly.

The Secretariat: 

The General Assembly make decision but to discuss in detail and manage the files r information needs 

great numbers of people head of is called ‘THE SECTARIAT’. It is prime minister of UN and it is one 

of important jobs in world. The current secretariat is Antonia from Portugal(Usually elected from small 

countries).The secretariat is elected by General Assembly for five years.

Economic and Social Organization:

There are many economic and social Organization like UNESCO,WHO,ILO etc. that work to settle 

trade disputes between states and work for welfare of peoples of world. This help to overcome the 

problems of  rights, health, social ,economically etc. 

UN is great bounty of  Allah Almighty. It is protecting the humanity from wars and other crises 

since it was formed. But there is need to enhance it's work in other fields. It is international 

representative platform in all over world . His rules and regulations implement on all 

memebers.This able us to cooperate with other countries in social,economic and cultural ties.
