Israel is running out of missile interceptors
The Washington Post, Economic Times, and other leading news journals stated that Israel can intercept Iranian missiles for 10 to 12 days. It costs millions of dollars to intercept the angularity of Iranian trajectories. Israel spent 285 million dollars to stop Iranian missile attacks of a single night .
Today is the seventh day of the war between Iran and Israel. Panic has already gripped Israelis (mostly dual nationals will flee if they have the chance to do so). Thousands of already fled before Ben Gurion Airport stopped functioning. If the US doesn’t intervene directly in this war, or a ceasefire is not reached, then Israel will suffer drastic damage and consequences. Because the defense system is exhausting the IDF and proving costly.
The Iron Dome is primarily designed to intercept small and low-altitude missiles. So other defense systems of israel, which include Arrow 2 and Arrow 3, are stopping long-range ballistic and hypersonic missiles. Unlike Iron Dome, these defense systems are very costly and exhausting for Israel.
Each missile of this system costs 2 to 3 million. These costly missiles are used to intercept cheap Iranian missiles. Often, more than one missile is launched to effectively block projectiles. Analysts inferred that the IDF soon has to choose which missile they intercept.
Plea of Israel
Israeli government pleaded US and the West several times for help. It signifies panic in the IDF and government officials. Without US and Western support, it is a matter of a few days of defeat of terrorist state of Israel.
