POETRY:

Definition :

In simple words, Poetry is one form of Literature that uses words to express the feelings and ideas of the poet. It is often based on nature, love, history, personalities, religion, etc. It is part of every language in the world. I think that all language is tasteless without Poetry It is in two forms written or oral. In happy or sad moments, people often say poetry. Poetry is words that produce in the heart not in the mind(imagine). It is an anesthetic part of Literature.

HISTORY:

Poetry has a varied and long history. The oldest poem in the world was written in 3BC early from the empires of Africa and Egypt. It was first written in Africa at the time of the pyramid periods. It was almost from the beginning of mankind. In old age, People write poems on stones and monoliths. Many people sang or recited poetry in old age. 

IMPORTANCE:

I think that "Poetry is the soul of man". It is part of the curriculum of students. It makes people happy and sad. It helps by innovating us and giving soul to person. Poets describe the feeling of her and others through poetry. Poetry is talent not skill. It is an entertainer, guide, motivation, and teacher.       

 

 

TYPES OF POETRY:

There are many types of poetry but here five main are:

1. Sonnet: 

It is basically invented by Dante around the 13 and 14 centuries. It is based on fourteen lines simply we call this a short poem. There are two main types of sonnets. One is Petracha sonnet and second is English sonnet. It was a famous and liked form of poetry.

2. Lyric:

Lyric was taken from the old Greek language. It is used to express the feelings and thought of any person or thing. Sometimes we call it a song. It is very important in poetry.

3. Ode:

It is a type of lyrical stanza. It uses to glorify or giving honor to any loved one or impress personalities. It has also some types. It was the oldest form of poetry.

4. Elegy:

Elegy is typically a sad and unhappy poem that uses to express sadness. Mostly sing at times of sadness. It helps to less sadness. There are many famous elegy poems like Ben's "On the Death of my first son".

5. Satire:

It uses to express humor against the ideas, beliefs, and weaknesses of anyone. It was the negative side of poetry. Many people ask satire poetry against their enemies.
